There is no contact form here and no ticket queue behind it, because this site sells nothing and books nothing. Every walk listed is run by an independent local guide on GuruWalk, and reservations happen on GuruWalk's own page for each walk. What is here is one email address, and mail sent to it gets read. Corrections, additions and sharp disagreements are all welcome; the shortest useful message is often the best one.

Some messages matter more than others. The ones below change what appears on this site, because they point at something a page gets wrong or something it is missing entirely. If a note fits one of these, send it.

• Details drift. Start times shift, meeting points move, a route gets handed to a different guide. If something here no longer matches the walk itself, say so and the page gets corrected. There is no price to go stale, since every walk is free and pay what you want.
• A walk that has vanished or quietly changed shape. Listings sometimes stop taking bookings, drop a landmark from the route, or switch from English to Spanish only. Send the walk's name and what happened. If it checks out, the page comes down or gets corrected the same day it is verified.
• If a free-entry rule is wrong, tell us which day it actually applies. Same if a church that asks for a donation is described as free, or a place is said to sit in the wrong rione. Every fact of that kind on this site is checked against official or primary sources, never operator marketing.
• A guide whose walk is missing. If a real, currently bookable GuruWalk listing for a free pay-what-you-want walk in Rome is not on this site, send the link. It gets read the same way every other walk is read. Nobody pays to be included, and nobody can pay for a better position.
• Questions are welcome too, whether about the FAQ or anything in the guides.

After You Hit Send

When a message lands here, corrections go to the front of the queue. A wrong meeting point or a start time that has drifted can cost someone their only free afternoon in Rome, so anything that fixes a fact on a walk page gets handled first. General questions move slower, and some are answered inside a guide rather than by reply. There is no newsletter, and an address is never passed on to anyone else.

The Limits Here

Reservations, waitlists, date changes, cancellations and tips do not happen on this site. Every walk listed here belongs to an independent local guide who runs it through GuruWalk, and GuruWalk handles the booking and any money directly. Free Things To Do In Rome points to the walks; it never takes a spot, holds a place or touches a payment. Anything that involves your reservation has to go through the guide's own GuruWalk page.

If your question concerns a booking already made, start with the GuruWalk confirmation email. It carries your reference, the meeting point and a way to reach the guide who leads the walk. That guide's channel is the only one that can resolve a shaky departure, a missed group or a last-minute change, because the walk is theirs, not this site's. Writing here about a live reservation only adds a delay.

Two details from the GuruWalk confirmation are worth pulling out before writing to anyone. One is the exact meeting point: Rome guides gather at specific spots, a named piazza, a fountain, a church door, and a vague one is where groups get lost. The other is the cancellation window, since terms differ from walk to walk and a free spot is still a reservation that can be released. The guide's own GuruWalk page is the authority on both.
